Maldives
The Maldives archipelago is made up of 1190 islands, (with only 200 inhabited) located on the equator, forming a wide submarine mountain chain born 2000 million years ago, with beautiful coral reefs on its crest. Stretching 820km from north to south and 120km from east to west, the total surface is 90.000sqm but emerged lands are only 0.3%.
The Maldives is recognized as one of the world's most diverse marine ecosystems where divers have the opportunity to see a vast range of marine species including the regions famous manta rays and whale sharks. Year-round tropical waters and a huge variety of dives sites make the Maldives a dream destination for any diver regardless of experience
