Passports and Visa's	All visitors to the Maldives will receive a 30 day tourist visa upon arrival. You will require a confirmed booking at a resort or liveaboard.

Telephone	The Maldives has a limited telephone system. Country code for the Maldives is +960 or 00960. Dial +44 or 0044 and remove the first 0 from the area code before the number required to direct dial UK.
Currency	The local currency is Rufiyaa. There are approximately RF25 to the GPB£1. Local currency can be bought from the Bank of Maldives airport branch located in the arrival terminal. We recommend you use USD$ as this is the major currency in resort. Euros are accepted, as well as all major credit cards.
Weather	The best period in the Maldives if from the end of December until the end of April. This is the dry season when rain is very uncommon. The periods of May, October and the beginning of July are characterised by rain. The temperature ranges from 28oc and 30oc and can reach 35oc in February and April. During all season s the water temperature varies from 20oc and 28oc.
