Ponta Dive Festival - Prize Giving
Ponta do Ouro was abuzz this weekend, as divers arrived in their droves, to attend the annual Spring Dive Party & Charity Drive. Efficiently organised by Quintin Heymans of SCUBA Q, and hosted by SCUBA ADVENTURES DIVE CAMPS, the event was arranged primarily to support the local Ponta village school.
To be eligible to win any of the 48 prizes sponsored, including the winning prize of a fantastic Red Sea liveaboard trip, divers had to pay with a suitable donation of stationery, which was then presented to the school. The resounding success of the event will ensure that it continues to be an exciting feature on the annual diving calendar. Among the main sponsors were blue o two who sponsored the main prize of a 7 day live aboard trip in the Red Sea, on one of their luxurious 5 star fleet. Scuba Adventures sponsored various dive and accommodation packages to their new dive camps.
