New mooring buoys installed in Sharm el Sheikh and Ras Mohammed National Park

CDWS is pleased to announce to all members that, as the first phase of the moorings installation program in the Gulf of Aqaba, new mooring buoys for use by snorkeling, scuba diving and dive training activities, have been installed in Marsa Bereika, Marsa Ghozlani, Marsa Khareita (Park Falls), El-Maya Gardens (entrance to Sharm El-Maya) and Temple.

During the last month CDWS provided all necessary assistance to the National Park marine unit to install and maintain 25 moorings in the southern Sharm el Sheikh coastline and northern Ras Mohammed area.

CDWS members cooperated to conduct bottom topography surveys at new sites whilst CDWS funded the provision of 4 commercial divers for the operations of moorings installation.
