Saturday 19th September was INTERNATIONAL CLEAN-UP DAY and we got involved by holding reef clean-ups on all three of our vessels.
Here's what happened...
M/Y blue Horizon
A reef clean up was conducted at a dive site in HRG called "The Aquarium" or "Gota Abu Ramada East". Approximately 10 kg of rubbish was collected between 20 participants including fishing line, electric tape, nets, newspaper, clothes, cable ties, broken mask and fin straps.
M/Y blue Fin
"The Barge" by Small Gubal island was given a good clean-up by the guests of M/Y blue Fin. Between 30 and 40 kgs of rubbish was collected between 20 divers.
M/Y blue Melody
16 divers took part in the reef clean-up at Abu Hashish and approximately 5-10 kgs of rubbish was brought out of the water.
