"Earth Day" is a day that is intended to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth's natural environment and is celebrated every year on 22nd April.
While the first "Earth Day", on 22nd April 1970 was focused on the United States, it is now an international event celebrated in more than 175 countries every year.
The diving community around the Red Sea is rallying to organise several events during the week prior to and on 22nd April 2011. Egypt has gone through a lot lately, but one good thing which has resulted was the readiness of everyone to clean their country, literally and metaphorically.
blue o two will organise a cleanup dive from all 4 of their vessels on different dive sites around Hurghada and Port Ghalib on 21st April to mark the date and raise awareness of this special day.
