Both the students and I had a fantastic trip (after my third year of trying I finally got to dive the Thistlegorm) and could not fault the whole week. In particular, the dive guides Ahmed and Mustafa were absolutely fantastic with the students (of a range of abilities and experience) and helped them with their dive skills, their wildlife spotting and their general confidence by taking them on most of the dives - could you please pass on again our appreciation for their efforts. Karin and Dray were fantastic guides and I can't thank the boat crew enough for all their kindness and help over the week. "I went on a BlueOtwo trip last year to the Red Sea.The Blue O two boat is the best I have been on in the Red Sea - great food and service. The Cameras Underwater team were so enthusiastic and helpful that I felt my photography improved considerably. It often seemed that it was the small tips and hints that made the greatest difference. Diving to take photos and having the time to do so was essential.
I took a photo at Aquarium on the last day of our trip. I had little idea about editing and Duxy explained and helped me use Lightroom. I was delighted when the photo won 1st place in the Compact section of Beneath the Sea Competition 2011 and I won a holiday to the Philippines. Really looking forward to my next trip with the team!" "Very impressed throughout. Boat staff made kitting up effortless and having fins clipped on and off really helps! Zodiac tricky to get into so 2 crew moved down to make this easier too - nothing was too much trouble and everything done with a grin. Filter coffee at breakfast would have been nice but plenty of choice for herbal teas. Chris' manner at meal-time brief was brilliant - casually informative, always engaging. Momo and Chris both incredibly kind & professional when I got caught in a current and panicked. No fuss, just reassurance (Momo - thank you!)
I didn't know what blue o two was like before this trip but so many fellow divers are returners that it speask volumes for your company. Was desperate for a dive holiday and this has been a perfectly relaxing dive trip, with dive, eat, nap, dive, eat, nap.... and chat of course! Divine! Can't wait for another trip with you!" "We really apprecaited the option to choose to go with a dive guide - we were worried such a large group would be crowded but the boat is so big and the flexibility of diving order means this isn't the case. I really appreciated the talk on fish and having PowerPoint presentations on the wercks is a good idea. We were with a good mix of competent divers which was also helpful! "My name is Christian Llewellyn, scuba instructor and photography enthusiast. I have just returned from a Cameras Underwater photography workshop liveaboard:18-25 March 2011 in Red Sea on M/Y blue Horizon.
I cant with words explain how good this holiday was, and I still cant believe I returned home being able to produce some of the photographs I have taken. This was only made possible through the faultless organisation and customer service skills of "Paul Duxfield and Spencer Cobby," from the Cameras Underwater team, and the friendly astute nature of the the dive guides "Dray van Beeck and Mo Mo," From the Blue O Two team. I must say this was my most enjoyable, interesting, informative, and relaxing Live-aboard I have been on. Now I need to look no longer I have found the best fleet of liveaboards in the Red Sea, and by far the best itinerary. The workshops on board were made accessible to all, with constant support technically and socially. My confidence of controlling my camera, lighting, exposure etc etc etc has increased so much in just one week.
I have been using Cameras Underwater for many years now, and six months ago I bought new equipment from "Duxy." He made sure that it was within my budget and was suited for my underwater needs. The service and passion that Cameras Underwater has for there customers is limitless. This combined with the Dive guides and crew of the blue Horizon vessel and all the Blue O two staff, created one of my best diving adventures ever. 5 star rating *****.

"This was my first liveaboard experience and it has been one that I will never forget. The crew are more than helpful, they are polite, respectful and always smiling. When you are onboard you are treated like royalty, made to feel at home and any problems you have seem to be solved before you are even aware there is a problem! This is obviously a well oiled machine, you are running a tight ship so to speak and I have been very pleasantly suprised. "This was my first live-aboard experience and I can thoroughly recommend it to anyone who has never tried it before. The whole Blue O Two experience was seamless from start to finish, we did a check dive just outside Hurghada, and then motored down to the Brothers where we spent 2 days. Next we headed down to Daedalus reef where we spent another outstanding day diving. We again travelled overnight to Elphinstone for our first dive of the day, then on to Marsa Shouna and then Mangrove Bay. We again travelled overnight and dived the Salem Express, followed by our last dive at Ras Desha. The whole experience was brilliant with a great crowd on board, now to start planing next years trip."

12th December 2008 - Diving Adventures with Monty Halls
"This really was an adventure for me, never before have I been on a holiday and as a birthday treat to myself I choose to go on my first live a board and spend it with total strangers, and I have to say it is one of the best birthdays I have ever had. I was overwhelmed at how they made such an effort to make it a great day for me complete with party and massive cake! The crew were fantastic, friendly, helpful and fun, food was excellent and the guides Dray and Karin were superb, being a novice diver I was considerably nervous but was put at ease by their patience and expertise and they truly are a credit to blue o two. Having Monty on board was an added bonus and we all were entertained with his DVDs and stories some that maybe he now wishes he had not told ;-) And the diving was for me awesome, my first dive on my birthday I jumped in to be greeted by the stunning Oceanic White Tip and it just kept getting better. The waters were warm and clear, the reefs just stunning and the company more than I hoped for. The comfort of the boat made travelling to the sites a breeze any problems were sorted quickly. I feel very spoiled and glad to have chosen Blue O Two as my starting point as I know feel that I have no need to go with anyone else. thank you all for such a memorable and special trip."

"As a lone female diver I was a bit dubious beforehand about sharing a cabin, being by myself etc but I had a fantastic time and would recommend anyone who was having second thoughts to go ahead and do it! The boat was great, food excellent and the diving was awesome! The guides, Deey and Karin, were fab as were all the crew. They were all so helpful and were always ready and waiting to help. I ended up sharing the cabin with another female diver but it worked out great as the only time we were really in the cabin together was when we were asleep! I am usually a bit slow to mix with people but the rest of the party on the boat were great anf the atmosphere was very good. As for the diving- fantastic ! The best dive for me was I think the early morning dive through the shallow cave system with the sunlight filtering through the water! That or the oceanic we saw on the last day at Elphinstone!! The week had perfect weather, a good crowd, great diving and a great crew. What more can I say. I will certainly go back for more."

"24 divers went on the Simply the Best trip, the first one I'd organised. We went on Blue Horizon which i think is the best of the fleet. the dive guides Dray and karin were again excellent. Dray took myself, Big G and two other divers to the North point of Little Brother where we saw 6 or 7 grey reef sharks darting in/out of the currents. It was one of my best dives with strong currents both up/down and a strong drift dive back to the boat. the dive time was 35 mins but seemed longer, an exhilarating dive for all of us. The trip highlight were Hammerheads at Daedulus, Karin encouraging one female to come close to us, the trip was one of the best for me, we are returning in Sept 08 to do the same trip (organised by a good mate "G" he know who he is) The crew, chefs and team both UK and Egypt side made the organisation easy. I have now been with BO2 six times and wouldnt use anyone else - well done to Jason, Nathan and all the teams - looking forward to Sept with hopefully Dray and karin again as our dive guides." 22nd June 2007 - Simply the Best
"Back again with blue o two but this time on Blue Horizon. This time we booked independantly instead of going with a group, of course you are never sure if you will get on with the other guests and I suppose everyone else thinks the same, but the guides Dray and Karin made everyone feel relaxed . were very friendly without being over attentive and got everyone to gel well quickly. in fact we made some firm friends. Food again was excellent, we were lucky to have the same Chef as last year, and accomodation superb. The diving was excellent and water warm and clear. We had a flight delay on theway back, Blue o two resort crew got us settled into the Marriot whilst we waited, kept us completely up to speed with what was going on, and got us away a few hours later without any bother at all. I asked for a guided tour around Blue melody whilst all the delays were going on, this wasnt a problem and it fact seemed as though it was their pleasure ! Great trip again, congrats Blue o two, see you on June 13 2008." Andy Bradley.
