Located in Southeast Asia, Thailand is an exotic and tropical country steeped in culture and history.
Thailand is the most popular tourist destination in Southeast Asia, boasting more than 2,500 Kilometres of coastline which plays host to sandy beaches, sheltered bays and idyllic islands. Furthermore, the year-round sunshine, tropical climate and crystal clear waters present the perfect playground for scuba divers. Despite the heavy flow of tourism, Thailand retains its character, with a culture all of its own and a carefree people famed for their smiles.
We are proud to offer Thailand diving liveaboards on board S/Y The Junk. We offer a 6 night diving itinerary sailing the Similan and Surin Islands. Dive sites range from sloping reefs and rocky outcrops, huge granite boulders covered with soft corals and shallow coral gardens. It is this variety that attracts the abundant marine life and makes diving here so appealing.
Several species of shark can be found patrolling the waters of the Similans, manta rays are frequently sighted and whale sharks make an occasional appearance. There are plenty of smaller creatures too and on each dive, divers will discover several types of anemone fish, different species of ghost pipefish and seahorses as well as a fantastic array of molluscs.
