Dive Travel Consultant - Full Time

Plymouth - £16,000 - £18,000pa + commission structure or bonus

Due to our continued success we now require a full time Dive Travel Consultant to work within our friendly team. The team member will be required to work in a dynamic and rapidly developing office environment. The Dive Travel Consultant will be based within our UK office.

The Dive Travel Consultant will be required to carry out activities inclusive of but not limited to:
- Maintaining and developing sales of blue o two's holidays and liveaboards
- Developing relationships with major accounts and individuals

Person Specification
We are looking for a candidate with the following experience and skillset:
- Strong organisational skills
- Strong communication skills
- Persistence under pressure
- Aptitude for analysis and reporting key information to managers
- Experience within a similar role
- An eye for detail
- An understanding of the link between marketing and sales

Desirable attributes:
- Previous experience within the travel industry
- Have an interest in diving and other adventurous sport

Vacancies with Worldwide Dive & Sail:

Senior HR/Crewing Officer - Full Time

Thailand - Salary: Depending on experience

The Senior HR Officer plays a crucial role in the recruitment process both in our Phuket office and in the destinations where we operate. He/she is also responsible for liaising with our manning agency for the recruitment and deployment of seafarers in compliance with the different flags of our vessels. The Senior HR Officer reports to the HR Manager. The position is based in Phuket - Thailand.

Job Responsibilities:

- Assists in the process of recruiting and proceeds to the interviews for non-managerial positions in the Phuket office.
- Is responsible for the onboarding of new hires in the Phuket office.
- Is responsible for the administration of the hiring process including issuing job offers, employment contracts, etc in the Phuket office.
- Answers to the applications, received by email and files candidates in our systems.
- Assists in the recruiting of key positions in our destinations.
- Is responsible and liaises with the Destination Managers for the administration of the hiring process including issuing job offers, employment contracts, etc in the destinations.
- Liaises with our manning agency and is responsible for the administration for the recruitment of seafarers for our vessels.

Skills, competencies and experience

- Advanced proficiency in MS Office and Google applications.
- Strong numeracy.
- Excellent proficiency in English.
- Able to work independently.
- Problem solving skills.

- Knowledge of STCW seafarers certification and vessel flagging regulations

Environmental Officer - Full Time

Thailand - Salary: Depending on experience

The environmental officer is responsible for identifying, planning and implementing environmental related activities. He/she researches and analyses environmental matters and reports on the feasibility of environmental projects. He/she liaises with local authorities in the destinations we operate to raise awareness with the local communities and to set up environmental projects. He/she liaises with the Destination Management Department for the implementation of projects and write up reports on performance of projects in our destinations and in our offices. The Environmental Officer reports to the Sales & Dry Dock Support Executive.

Job Responsibilities:

- Stays continuously abreast of environmental projects, development and initiatives
- Ensures compliance by all aspects of the business to relevant environment legislations and offers advice on ensuring compliance
- In addition to minimum legal compliance, conducts research and assessments to improve best environment practices in all aspects of our business
- Actively promote prevention of environment pollution and dealing with pollution incidents
- Establishes and maintain relationships with local authorities and communities and NGOs with the aim of developing collaboration on environment initiatives
- Directs and oversees the planning, development and implementation of projects in the destinations we operate and in our offices
- Makes recommendations on sustainable environment policies to implement on our vessels while measuring impacts on operational budgets
- Conducts assessments and performance management reviews of environment policies and projects
- Liaises with our Marketing department to increase visibility on our environment initiatives, including all external communication (dive magazines, trade shows, etc.)
- Works in close collaboration with Destination Management to promote environment-friendly procurement while managing costs effectively
- Is an active and engaged promoter of environment issues and fosters environment-friendly attitude across all aspects of the business.

Key Performance Indicators

- One environment-friendly project approved by the Board of Directors and implemented across the entire fleet per year
- Within 3 months of starting in the role, provide a clear plan with implementation phases and milestones for going single-use plastic free by 2019
- Create a fleet environmental performance assessment system for all vessels
- Implement and report regularly on fleet environmental performance
- Set-up 2 community based environment projects across 2 destinations per year.

Skills, competencies and experience
- Driven by environmental issues and strives to improve environment
- Bachelor's degree in environmental studies or equivalent experience
- 3 to 5 years experience as Environment Officer
- Experience in analysing and reporting
- Proven track record of project management experience and successful implementation of projects
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Exceptional communication skills to be able to advocate environment issues

Preferred
- Scuba diver or experience in the recreational diving industry
- 3 years experience working with environmental NGOs or government agencies

Working hours: Monday - Friday - 9am to 5pm. Or as required by the operation of the vessel.

Emergency Situations: On-call in line with crisis management guidelines.

Travel: Some travel to our destinations may be required.

Cruise Director Internship Programme

Join our brand-new Cruise Director Internship Programme (CDIP) and receive first-hand training in the high-end dive liveaboard industry from our experienced, professional Cruise Directors. CDIP is available in one or more of the following destinations: Indonesia, Maldives, Papua New Guinea, Palau, the Philippines, Red Sea, Solomon Islands or Truk Lagoon. Candidates who have successfully finished CDIP will be preferred if a suitable position becomes available within blue o two, Master Liveaboards or Siren fleet vessels.

The programme offers qualified dive professionals a unique opportunity to gain invaluable experience as a Cruise Director. The programme is for a period of 90 days and will allow you to dive daily in some of the most amazing diving destinations around the world!
